Star Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental, mission-minded Baptist church that holds to the following:
Our first service was July 3, 2011. Due to the health of the former Pastor, the church had closed its doors in January 2011. After obtaining the building, we reorganized the church and reopened the doors. We have seen lost people saved and saved people rededicate their lives and become involved in the church and its ministries. God has been so good to us, we have grown in number and in spirit through old-fashioned preaching, praying, singing, and genuine concern for the saved and lost alike. If you are in the Williamsburg area, we would love for you to visit with us.
John 13:34-35 "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. "
- Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone
- The King James Bible as the preserved word of God and our final authority
- The virgin birth of Jesus Christ
- The deity of Jesus Christ
- The pre-millennial return of Christ to this earth
- The eternal security of every true born-again believer
- The gospel as the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ
- We resist the contemporary music and mega-church philosophy

Our Pastor
Pastor Denny Roberts is a Williamsburg native who was saved as a nine year old boy at Maryville Baptist Church in Louisville, KY, where his father, Pastor Jack Roberts, is still pastoring. Pastor Denny Roberts graduated from Bullitt Central High School in Shepherdsville, KY and then married Connie Jean Weldon a year later in April 1979 and answered the call to preach in June 1981. Pastor Roberts served our country in the United States Army and retired from twenty-six years of active duty military service in 2006. During his military service, Pastor Roberts continued to faithfully serve the Lord at Maryville Baptist Church by being the Athletic director at MICAH Christian School for twenty years, acting as the boys’ and girls’ basketball coach, and serving at the church in numerous capacities with his wife and three daughters. The Lord eventually moved Pastor Denny and Sister Connie back to Williamsburg, KY and allowed him to become our pastor in 2011, where the Lord is continuing to use them for His service.
